Physiotherapy helps to prevent chronic and recurrent problems and can be used for almost any joint, ligament, tendon or muscle injury anywhere in the body. It doesn't matter what the cause; trauma, age, bad posture – All ages can benefit from Physiotherapy

What we achieve for our clients:

Relieve pain

Improve joint movement
Speed up the healing process
Reduce swelling and bruising
Increase muscle strength and stamina
Prevent recurrent and chronic problems
Advise on self help measures and exercise

Treatment may involve any of the following

    Spinal manipulation or mobilisation
A degree of spinal adjustment like chiropractic or Osteopathy. Techniques vary from very gentle fine touch movements of mobilisation and stretching to manipulation

    Massage
Relaxing soft tissue massage to relax muscle tension and facilitate mobilisation. Deeper soft tissue massage to reduce swelling, fibrosis, scar tissue formation etc.

    Joint Mobilisation
Graduated joint mobilisation of restricted joints such as frozen shoulders.

    Neural Mobilisation
Stretching of restricted neural tissue e.g. sciatica

    Traction
Mechanical or manual spinal stretching to relieve compression in the neck, low back and hip.

    Acupuncture

All needles used are sterilised disposables. Acupuncture can be used for any condition if it is felt this is the most appropriate form of treatment. Particularly helpful with O.A. knees and sciatica

    Electrotherapy including Ultrasound and laser
To reduce inflammation and pain and to accelerate the bodies own healing processes eg achilles tendinitis, tennis elbow, arthritic joints etc.

    Orthotics
The use of corrective insoles to prevent lower limb problems eg knee pain, achilles tendinitis

    Exercise
A self help routine of stretching, strengthening and mobilisation is given in most cases.

    Prevention Advice
You will be advised as fully as possible how to deal with your condition and how to reduce the risk of a recurrence in the future eg posture and ergonomic advice on prevention of spinal problems at work.
